I still don't know what the hell the Bulls are doing.

Gar has literally said they know they are bad but don't want to miss the playoffs. When your GM doesn't understand what basketball hell is, you're fucked.

How so, other than losing ground on the pick and delaying the inevitable rebuild? Miami will always be a free agent destination, so it shouldn't take too long to blow up and reform.

Tyler Johnson needs playoff minutes to develop into the player he will eventually be.

I mean pretty much that. We have the young core and it's good to see most of them stepping up and looking like they have a future. But it's also a team of one year deal guys playing for contracts. This team isn't ever going to win, so from a long-term standpoint I'd rather have the top 3 pick it looked like we were on track. That said, the team was unwatchable early in the season so this is nice.

I guess you're right about free agency perhaps, but it hasn't felt like that for awhile.

I can understand your frustration. I'm really curious to see how many big names change teams in free agency once this new CBA really kicks into gear.

I think he's a restricted free agent. If someone wants to pay him garpax will let him walk the plank like Omer Asik.

Greatest CBA player of all time? Has to be John Starks or Mario Ellie. I'm partial to Jimmy King though...Quad City Thunder legend.

For the life of me I don't understand how the league hasn't figured out that if they want to disincentivize super teams they need to get rid of max salaries.

I don't think the league wants to get completely rid of super teams. People like watching stars.

If there weren't super teams I wouldn't be as fueled by hate and the product would just be watered down garbage like the NFL. It's fun to root against super teams. It's not like they never fail. (04 Lakers, 2010-11 Heat, 2016-17 Warriors).

I guess it depends on what we mean by "the league".

I think most owners would prefer to prevent super teams, as evidenced by their successful attempt to essentially luxury tax Miami's Big Three out of existence. Since the owners are the ones who vote to ratify the CBA on behalf of the league, in this context I'm referring to them when I say "the league."
