Have we found the new "put a little _______ on it"?

None of the lyric snippets ive seen so far have impressed me. In fact the ones for getaway, sirens and swallowed whole straight up worry me.

That said, they could all be completly wrong.

Indeed, and they often clash these strange styles together on live sets. My dad thought that the set was a weird mess of styles when he first saw PJ live. He likes the Ten stuff.

i don't think we could agree less... but i'll ponder for a fortnight and respond.
A band like the Pixies, even Frank Black's solo stuff, is more eclectic than PJ ever were.
And yet BAG BOY sounds like they're trying to retread everything they've ever done. Return to form. . . . .
Maybe. But I don't know. Help me out, fucking crazy bands that clash styles together... any ideas?
Beastie Boys
u guys are gonna kill me, but dave matthews band's latest album is very eclectic. there's a couple of prog rock songs, gospel inspired stuff, the usual blend of pop, blues and jazz, and a 9 minute long monster of a song at the end thats like 3 different songs in one. but dmb wrote 'satellite' so everyone overlooks them. they've always been more eclectic than pearl jam though.
why do we need to compare pj to anybody else? i certainly didn't invite it. my point was that if they have actually gotten back to an eclectic album (by their own standards), then i'll contact my doctor about my priapism.
just acknowledge dmb is more eclectic than pearl jam and ill drop it

I think we're just not agreeing on what eclectic is, hence the comparisons. But hey, no matter :peace:

Man ed could scream almost anything back then and it would have sounded badass.

Plus ive always kinda liked that line, soul searchy feel the wind beneath my wings on a wave of trees ed lyrics have always been my least favourite type of ed lyrics.

So the Dave Matthews Band is pretty terrible. What's that about?

None of the lyrics sound that bad imo. None as bad as 'Supersonic gonna take my soul, I caught a rabbit but my cock was full yeah.'

i think we can all agree, for a rock band, pearl jam can be very diverse/eclectic. ten and backspacer probably represent this the least. but even vs has stuff like go and blood with elderly woman. vitalogy is kinda all over the place, same w/ no code.

Yes.

LetMeSleep wrote:If you only heard TMWay and You Are, that would sound very diverse. But your point is solid, Harmless.
that's probably the closest they've come to what i think they accomplished with no code. i'm optimistic about LB.

hey now! of course they are... in fact i've enjoyed many a dave show and think the american baby intro from live trax 10 is just good clean fun.

'Let me get some air to breathe' would at least make sense. Whoever wrote that line put a little ESL on it.
