The Indians now have the longest World Series drought, and the next six teams behind them on that list were expansion clubs added in the '60s or later.
They'll pull a Royals and win next year.

I wanted the Indians to win so bad, but I can't even complain because that was one of the best games ever.

Is it a parade celebrating their consistency over the regular season? I doubt the city woulf set time aside to celebrate their lucky breaks in the high-variance environment of the playoffs.

Well smart fans will view it as a celebration of the entire body of work. I assume Lament and I will be looking at it with that perspective.

They should start holding parades celebrating awesome, non-championship seasons.

Red Sox and Blue Jays fans should do a joint parade to celebrate making the playoffs.

The Cubs had the best season and also won the playoff crapshoot. No parades for anyone but the Cubs, sorry.

The lowest moment in Boston sports history is when they had a parade for Ray Bourque winning the Stanley Cup while playing for the Colorado Avalanche.

Ah ok. Must have been a hell of a party in Missouri last November with both the Royals and Cards holding parades.

Why should the winners get all the parades? The losers are the ones who need their spirits lifted.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

No, people just think it's funny that two weeks ago you were bragging about your cake and explaining why it didn't matter whether or not you got to eat it because the important thing is that you had it, and now you've taken a bite and you're making sure everyone knows how good it tastes.
