Ed is just addressing his breathy vocals for us all. aw huh.
he has a habit of acknowledging previous songs in his lyrics
The most generous post in RM history.
i'm surprised given2trade wasn't here to benefit.

Pretty much any of the albums have a range of styles, with not many fucks given to uniformity.

u really havent listened to much dmb, have u?
I even have boots, my man.

Nothing post-2002, I'll admit.
sounds like u gave up on them too early. tim reynolds being in the band really compliments everything they do. i dunno how anyone can think they are terrible after listening to them live. they've got influences from all over the place and some of the most diverse songs in popular music. i mean, i hate satellite too, but get with it man.

Your trolling is going downhill fast. You can do better than nitpicking let me catch my breath to breathe. I remember the good old days when you kept telling us how you could not stop laughing to the sight of lightning bolts. That was grade A tro... oh wait that was bad too.

But you can do something?

I think "let me catch my breath to breathe" is on par with "try my patience / my patience tried"

just kind of a simple play on words. I'm not mad at those words in that order or anything. Maybe I'm weird.

'Let me get some air to breathe' would at least make sense. Whoever wrote that line put a little ESL on it.
i mean no disrespect when i say this happened overseas where English may not be the first language, no?
I'm obviously talking about whoever wrote it in the original song, not our German review. I'm assuming the line is right for the purposes of pointless internet speculation.

My fear with that lyric is a live pregnant pause after breath........ cue screaming crowd and ed raising his right arm

to breathe (enter Mike from Stage left and solo to out).

What effect is this play on words having? Tried my patience / my patience tried is at least a slightly interesting subversion of a phrase.

I only ever heard three songs where the songwriting affected me in any way.

One of the boots is Dave and Tim. It says Jimi Thing on the cdr, but I dunno if that's really the boot name.

It's better than any of the studio records I heard.

maybe i'm missing something. i know/have many/most of their albums, which album would you say exemplifies your point.

but that would mean they're writing music with the live performance in mind... oh shi-

Okay guys, I think it is time.

Rank your songs based on anticipation:

1. Pendulum
2. Infallible
3. Getaway
4. Sirens
5. Yellow moon
6. Lightning bolt
7. My fathers son
8. Swallowed whole
9. Let the records play
10. Sleeping by myself (since everyone has slagged it)
11. Future days

They're all basically different style of rock song
i don't think we could agree less... but i'll ponder for a fortnight and respond.
A band like the Pixies, even Frank Black's solo stuff, is more eclectic than PJ ever were.
And yet BAG BOY sounds like they're trying to retread everything they've ever done. Return to form. . . . .
Maybe. But I don't know. Help me out, fucking crazy bands that clash styles together... any ideas?
Beastie Boys
but on the same album? i know their catalog has range, but one album?

Definitely. Paul's Boutique, Check Ur Head, and Ill Communication have a ton of variety across tracks [but, of course, some of these albums have 20+ tracks].

its probably dave and tim live at luther college 1995. jimi thing on that disc is the best ive heard as well. they can jam that song out too long, but the riff kinda gives me a boner. dave matthews has these weird slide licks on an acoustic i never really heard other people play before.

This whole thing would've been easier if you'd just admitted that from the beginning. It's OK.

What's up with BoB lying about Cold Confession? Does anyone like the fact that he told a really blatant lie to a bunch of fans at a Q&A? What a dick. That type of a lie would seem to fly in the face of what the band stands for...transparency, honesty, etc., etc.

i have listened to each of these countless times, what do y'all mean by varitey/eclecticism that i don't when discussing no code and the descriptions we have of lightening bolt?
