Shouldn't you be heading down to BDO?

Nah I'll be there on Sunday. Quite jealous that I'm not in Melbourne today though.

Oh - I thought you were in Melbourne. How'd I screw that up?

Wendy Carlos likes winning arguing with imaginary people. It makes him feel good about himself.

You could field a veritable dream team of people who excel at arguing against imaginary people/points on this site.

Lament, what are your thoughts about nirvanas bleach, esp in terms of the songwriting

I'm a fan. I like how simultaneously abrasive yet subtly melodic it is and how heavy it is without feeling lumbering. The performances are engaging enough in the moments where the songwriting recedes a bit, so the album holds strong pretty much all the way through for me. It's my least favorite Nirvana album, but an album I enjoy nonetheless.

I've yet to hear a single song off of Bleach.

Do you just not like Bleach, or do you not like Nirvana?

Pretty much my thoughts too. Honestly, when I do listen to Nirvan, which is not much these days, the albums I go for are Insecticide and Bleach. I guess I am just kind of sick of Nevermind and In Utero.

Couldn't tell ya regarding Bleach. Nirvana has always been a fringe band.
In Utero had some really nice things going on.

So I just moved into a new place, and my roommate has tragically terrible taste in music. Like, abysmal.

Anyways, I overheard Getaway like ten minutes ago and thought "Oh, they're playing Getaway on whatever assrock station she listens to. That's cute." But then Mind Your Manners came on. And now My Father's Son is on. I wonder if I can pack my stuff back up and be gone before Sirens starts...
