And I love that his son killed him as a way to try and end his own internal conflict. A complete inversion of the luke/vader story.

yea that was cool. I figured he wasn't actually going to not kill him but driver did do an excellent job conveying the brief struggle he had with it.

It wasn't really Han that died anyway - just a shittily written imitation of him. That death had no weight at all.

Exactly. He does it as his ticket to full on dark side but I don't think his guilt for doing it is gonna help his journey. It's gonna work against him down the line

Did you not watch the OT as a kid? Do you not see the love between him and Chewie? The conflicted pain from Ren? How does Han's death have no weight?

I do think it could have been more impactful if it happened next movie with some developed story and struggle between the two but I still think it was a great end to Han Solo.
