Adam Driver, though. Holy shit. He is stellar. And he is endlessly compelling in this role. I could watch him all day. His physicality, his delivery - just spellbinding. Also, Benicio Del Toro. Oh my god. He lights up the screen every second he’s on it. Too bad he’s paired with Boyega and that GODAWFUL Rose girl. Yikes. They are both so bad. As is Laura Dern in her curtain and horrific purple hair.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to wheel Carrie Fisher out of her nursing home and prop her up so she could wheeze her way through her lines ought to be ashamed of themself.

Isaac is kinda wasted. Most of the Luke stuff is a bore. And, again, the whole final act lands with a wet thud.

Overall: Meh. Better than TFA, but worse than any other SW movie.

it was a character driven post lacking in any truly memorable cinematic sequences, and thus, ultimately forgettable.

Hes definitely lost his edge. I’m hoping for a return to his former piss and vinegar glory soon.

He's just appeasing the fans now. Cashing in on the empire he's built.

they had to explore the grotesqueness and oppression of the rich on the poor on that planet a bit to give the scene of the broom kid at the end more weight.
