Soak it in, Chris. The past week has helped remind me why baseball always has been and always will be the best.

he is known as a 'great guy/team mate', but this is ridiculous. maybe if he hit over .200 AND could throw to second base he would have played more. STFU and don't let the door hit you in ass.verb_to_trust wrote:Montero whining already. He couldn't have waited a week?

I'm genuinely shocked that the voters didn't screw it up this time. Although some of them tried... one voter had Beltre first and Trout seventh. People should have to have some knowledge of the sport they're voting on, shouldn't they?

Its actually just a person that wants to boost Beltre's Hall of Fame case.

That's even dumber than I expected, and it still doesn't explain the best player in the world being 7th.@SkitchP wrote:philpritchard wrote:I'm genuinely shocked that the voters didn't screw it up this time. Tentative 5 year labor deal in place. As part of the agreement the pennant winner with the best record will have home field advantage in the World Series.

Re: MLB
I hated the ASG deciding it but I'm with you on this. It was slightly better than the alternating year method, but giving it to the pennant winner with the best record is the best way to go.numbers wrote:I don't get the vitriol for the ASG thing. I'm not saying it's ideal, but how is it any worse than just alternating years? At least the with ASG method homefield was earned in some respect.

Re: MLB
But it's just a funny exhibition game. Players opt out for little nothing reasons. The roster is decided in large part by fans. Pitchers go for at most two innings. Managers try to get their entire roster into the game at some point. Just let it be fun, let's not pretend that it's important.
