The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina continues to surprise me.

So apparently, the Motley Crue movie that’s on Netflix is the best movie ever made. One of my coworkers is quite insistent that everybody in the world watches it, especially us at work. Now, according to her, they need to make a Bon Jovi movie.

anybody watching these? 18 animated shorts with a sci-fi/horror bent. david fincher and tim miller as producers.



not even all the way through and there are a few i’d be all in on for longer treatments. each has a unique animation style and the stories for the most part have been pretty good. it’s hard to categorize this since each segment is unique to itself, but if things like heavy metal, aeon flux and mtv’s old liquid television show, or cowboy bebop were your thing, check this out. if you’re curious and just want to check one segment out you could do worse than ‘sonnie’s edge’ or ‘beyond the aquila rift’. there’s some comedic ones here, too - like the one about super evolved yogurt taking the state of ohio for itself - but so far those have been the least satisfying. also, don’t watch this with kids, like at all, unless you trust them with very nsfw material.

This series will probably be the reason I get Netflix... I also forgot about Black Mirror which I believe is all on there.

Huh, I started the series yesterday and was going to make a post but my day was too busy. Apparently there are different episode orders so me saying I watched the first four wouldn't make sense to everyone:

In March 2019, Netflix revealed that it was experimenting with a new approach by including a different order of episodes to different users.[11] In response to an accusation that the episode order was based on the streaming company's perception of a user's sexual orientation, Netflix responded via Twitter that there were four unique episode orders, released to users at random.[12][11]

But I did watch the first four according to wikipedia so there's that.

"Sonnie's Edge" would have been a better story if it had ended with Wolverine-lite. It was kind of predictable up to then and having the bad guy win would have been an interesting choice. As is the ending was alright.

"Three Robots" was hilarious, especially the triangle robot.

"The Witness" would have been better without the weird middle section that was completely divorced from the story. As soon as the guy was saying "wait, we need to talk" I knew it was a time-loop. It still surprised me though that they looped on each other as I figured it would just be him looping. Still felt like middle-school sci-fi.

"Suits" was frickin' beautiful. Just amazing animation and the story was out of left field.

Still have some more to go but it's funny that I saw the episode titles in Netflix and saw "When The Yogurt Took Over" and thought that was a weird coincidence since had I read the book Miniatures: The Very Short Fiction of John Scalzi just last week.
