that would just about confirm that jon and davos are the heroes of the war that is coming then, as they are two of the most sympathetic and virtuous characters on the show. the other two would be sansa and arya.

I'm reading the World of Ice and Fire right now. Might take awhile.

It starts flowing pretty easily, as long as you're not trying to keep track of all the names. Be on the lookout for greasy black rocks!

Yeah, the names all kind of run together after awhile.

There's a character named after Bill Bellechik and I totally missed it.

Reading reddit and now I'm convinced: there's no way Ollie kills Jon, right? There's just been too much telegraphing. Someone there suggests that he'll turn at the last second and try to warn Jon about a plot against him, but won't be able to give him the news in time.

The showrunners love telegraphing

Watch the previously on have a focus on him: the raid on his village, Thenn telling him he is eating his parents, shooting Ygritte, voicing his concerns to Jon and Sam and Sam saying "he always comes back"

Are you just talking about the one you tweeted at me or are there more?
Different one; lots of people are talking about Jon eating it.

Thorne's gonna do it, not Ollie.

credit to this guy http://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments ... ed/crzrf07

but damn, I forgot about the Azor Ahai prophecy and how he forged Lightbringer by plunging it in his wife's heart to temper the blade's steel. This makes his burning Shireen seem like his attempt at his Nissa Nissa moment to fulfill his perceived destiny.

It's a shame Stannis is just a Azor Ahai reborn pretender with a cold sword.

spike, did you read the books or are you just curious and not afraid of spoiling the source material? I only ask because you seem like a newcomer to this thread

i haven't read the books and don't care about spoilers. i've always had a habit of hitting up wikipedia after episodes and managed to spoiler a lot; now i'm immune.

honestly, i forget half the stuff i read up on anyway.
