oh joe, thats a tough one...i may not name a favorite but the go to places for me were the striphouse on 12th...quality meats on 58th..keens and probably wolfgangs...many others deserve mention but those always got it right...you?
on a side note, i always found peter luger over hyped...

fact: every time we went to the striphouse one of their signature napkins found its way into my wife's purse..we have quite a few

There aren't many that I've been to and none that I've frequented. The wife and I were just thinking it might be fun to do a really nice steakhouse kinda thing for the anniversary this year. I always trust your food takes, so wanted to see if you had any you really recommend.

New Ethiopian place opened a mile from our house. Their family style dinners start out at only $25.
Gonna check it out tonight.
