It's pretty funny that that's the song they picked. Do you think Gray's Anatomy has wanted the song for ages, so they hammed up the production for that reason?

Why do you think they made a romantic/medical hybrid drama about a hospital in Seattle? How the hell could Ed resist that?

B o'B probably had an arrangement worked out by which he would be able to have melted direct from the factory Grey's Anatomy DVD's poured into his home jaccuzi to give him the proper influence for his future production work. In return for making the song sound perfect for the show
