This is really sad because I actually met that dude before. Him and Audrey Freed, they played at the Beachland when I worked there and while I hate the Black Crowes, those dudes were cool as fuck. Chris Robinson was a dick but not for the reason you’d expect. He offered me mushrooms when I was still on the clock so I had to turn it down.

I’m guessing that is the Ryan Adams message board ?
I’m really interested to see what happens to his career.
Yep.There always was Ryan Adams Archive and To Be Young. Both are gone now but in the late 2000s especially both were really active to the point where even Ryan posted (and acted like a total ass of course).
I'm not sure what's up with Ryan but I saw he played with Jesse Malin for the encore at Malin's LA show. He looked like shit, bloated. Weirdly, Catherine Popper was part of Malin's band.

From what I remember his sins shouldn’t have lifelong consequences.
I tend to believe that people deserve a second chance. But they need to put the work in for that. No one just gets that handed to them. And homeboy had a shit ton of work to do.

Fair enough. What work can he do though? It's not like public service will fix this male predatory bullshit.

I can't do his work for him. But there's a ton he can do. He can be open and honest about everything that happened. He can apologize to each victim. He do interviews/write essays about the toxic culture, his place in it, and how he regrets his choices. He can reach out to organizations and/or volunteer with people who are working to fight this kind of toxic evil shit. He can take a break from recording and offer to give to and champion female artists. He could work to build an infrastructure for female artists. That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure a creative guy with his money, connections, and resources could come up with a lot more than that.
There's a lot he could do. Maybe he's done some of this? I honestly don't know. I haven't been seeking out news about him. But that's what leads me to believe he doesn't really give a shit about any of this. I imagine he probably thinks he's the real victim. At least that's the impression I got when this all broke. And, again, I haven't seen anything from him that makes me think otherwise.

Ryan Adams is not going to do any of this stuff. He's an asshole. What he should do is make music though. People can take it or leave it.
