Suddenly Facebook's bullshit algorithm makes day old "fuck the police" posts from suburban white kids seem a little awkward now.

What a horrible fucking mess.

It's almost like its brewing to a sort of civil war. When people can't trust their police and turn on them like that it says a lot. Julian Lennon posted a thing yesterday saying police violence against black people isn't new. Just that the cameras are new. And they're being caught doing it. Whole thing is getting uglier daily.

Yup. If you raise entire generations by telling them that they are the victims of unseen oppression, that hatred towards them is in their country's DNA, stereotype them as thugs, ghettoize their culture, and then place in them into the echo chamber of reactionary hate that is social media, this is the only result. And it is literally the worst thing they could have done if the goal is stop police from treating young black men differently because now every cop out there has an excuse. It will be sad to watch the progressive commentators try to perform the pretzel-like logic twisting that morally equates the tragedies that befell those two men earlier in the week with snipers firing on police who were protecting a protest.

The cops are always the assholes for shooting and this proves that they are bad guys out there that will kill them and not think twice about doing so

Think about it terms of humanity and not "cop" vs "black people."

All I'm saying is that's it's a tough job, I wouldn't wanna do it that's for sure..

Sometimes the black guy is the asshole, sometimes the cop is the asshole.. prob most of the time they're both the asshole, which is a wonderful combination

I get that. Totally do. However, this whole phenomenon is not that simple, and it shouldn't be white-washed. When black mothers have to talk to their children - not only about "stranger danger" but "cop danger" - there is something seriously flawed in our humanity.

When I want a nuanced view of current events, I always wait for i got bugs to chime in before coming to any conclusion.
