That's Miami fans (Est. 2010) for you. That's why it pains me to see those people get another championship.

Re: NBA Thread
Can't wait for tipoff.
There's no way the Spurs wilt in this moment. I hope the Heat have enough to come through tonight, but it's going to be another battle. These are the two best teams in the league and they are super evenly matched. They're by far the best team Miami has played in the Big 3 era. If the Spurs win it'll be because they are an amazing team. Same goes for the Heat if they win.
I hope Miami is as successful shutting down the 3 point line as they were in Game 6. I'd let Duncan go one-on-one again and hope that coming off of playing 44 minutes that he wears down like he did last game.
Oh, and if Miami does indeed lose I'll always have Game 6. And I'll cherish it.

This is the first time I'm DVR-ing a non-Celtics NBA game. Pretty excited!

Re: NBA Thread
Unless you are a Heat fan there is not much reason to watch tonight. For all the mystique game sevens have, the stats don't lie the home team wins the vast majority. And with the way they Heat took game six the Spurs have a huge mountain of momentum they will need to climb to have a shot. I just don't see it happening, especially with how shit Manu looks....he is the X factor for them and looks toast. Him and D Wade need to be put out to pasture....Simple Torture wrote:This is the first time I'm DVR-ing a non-Celtics NBA game. Pretty excited!

The Spurs aren't rolling over. They will be fine mentally. Physically, after playing big minutes in game 6 would be a bigger concern IMO.
Unless Wade comes out and plays like he did in games 4 & 5 I hope we see less of him and more of LeBron, a big, and three shooters out there.

We'll see pretty early if the Spurs are gonna wilt. Last year when things went south against OKC, most of the games were over midway through the 3rd quarter. It takes a lot of stamina and a mountain of "mental fortitude" (as Pop likes to say) to withstand wave after wave of runs like Miami puts on teams. I just don't see the Spurs overcoming that tonight. I hope I'm wrong.

Two bad signs that could be good signs. Wade looks hot hoping it causes James to defer in the 2nd half. James hitting threes early means he falls in love with the shot and stops driving.
