Basically, Stip hates you more than Harry Lime hates women.

I Got Bugs - love Terry Reid, and Moonlight Mile is one of the best of any decade
Durdencommatyler - Life on Mars wins it
Stip - there's a fine line, and this team is just on the good side of that I think.
DeLima - this might be my favourite team

Varis

DCT

Stip (Very close. Both teams have many songs that I adore and each has one song that I absolutely despise)

DeLima (lots of big artists but almost none of their most obvious hits)

This is true. Varis has more songs that I love, but I might love "Moonlight Mile" more than anything in his team. Still, it's a stronger group of songs and so my vote goes to Varis.

varis - one of the best teams in the tournament
joey - i can't vote for a team with witchy woman
abstain - i can't vote for a team with the theme from shaft, and i can't vote for a team that went with the eagles
delima - i don't feel strongly about either team in this one

I once got into an argument with someone over at The Pit about whether or not Bart & Lisa were singing the Theme from Shaft or Dirty Frank in the episode of the Simpsons where they're singing karaoke.

Not surprisingly, those who chimed in were split pretty 50/50 over which one of us was right.

The real question is why the hell Stip didn't go with Sammy's version. Soooo much better! Can you dig it???

bugs - Varis, I think you're a wonderful man, but I really hate that Supertramp song.
Joey - There's no gigantic clunkers in numbers' team but Joey's is stronger top-to-bottom.
Kaius - I'm not terribly fond of either of these teams but at least Kaius had the good sense to pick Cortez the Killer (and not be stip.)
DeLima - I'd be quite pleased if I never heard almost all of the songs in Rangi's team ever again. I can hardly believe I'm voting for a team that includes a Bruce Springsteen song but there you have it.

Bugs - This one is a number to number tie. But again, Us and Them takes it.
Given the details of the 70s tourney, I'm abstaining from voting in Numbers v d,t
Stip - This is another number to number tie. But Stip has Tangled Up in Blue and Martha.
DeLima - When in doubt, vote Stevie Wonder. Also, Working Class Hero is pretty great. Those two won this match.

You're admittedly a handsome man, Rangi, but I'm afraid that offer isn't enough to sway my vote.

You're wrong. One of these nights is a damn good tune.

Varis
Numbers (while Joey has my favorite song on either team I like numbers overall a bit more)
Stip (Kaius starts strong but for the most part I don't really like the back half of his team. That jimmy buffet so g might be my favorite moment
Rangi guy (maybe my second favorite team left, though delima has some respectable songs

"Unless the opponent has both Tangled Up In Blue AND a Tom Waits song."

Sorry Kaius. But I don't make the rules.
