I'm not arguing against Trump rally security's right to remove whomever from their private rally for any reason, but what was this lady doing other than looking like a Muslim? She must have entered the place just as everyone else? Was she holding up a hateful sign or shouting derogatory comments?

I've only skim read reports but I believe she refused to sit down when asked, standing with 'I Come In Peace' written on her shirt.

Pretty mild, sure, but I can readily understand why she would be asked to leave even on that basis.

This morning on Meet The Press they said something that was both scary and oddly comforting. At this point it's appearing to be Cruz V. Trump. And that the republican establishment is ultimately going to probably getting behind Trump because Cruz is such an asshat. And the commentator pointed out that Trump, despite being a blowhard, is a guy trying to be popular. So should he get the nomination a lot of his stances will probably soften. Being seen as a negotiator will allow him more wiggle room within his base. Cruz being a hard line Tea Party type CANT deviate much.

I dunno if that would be the case. Even if Cruz backpeddles a bit on some issues--immigration, taxes, defense spending--would Tea Party-ers ever vote for Clintob? You might argue that they'd stay home, but I doubt it if a Clinton win seemed likely.

Honestly, I think they were talking more about once actually IN the role as opposed to the election.

Trump is my preferred candidate in this circus for just that reason. I also don't think he's much more extreme than most of these people

He's all I'm seeing on my FB feed yet there's articles saying he's not gettin anything like the coverage Trump is despite him having a much bigger support base.

The real bias in mainstream American journalism is a pro-corporate/pro-capitalism bias, so you aren't going to see much in the way of Sanders.

I do think he is the only serious candidate in generations to actually understand what the fundamental issues are afflicting the United States, even if his presentation is a bit lacking in nuance

Which I think benefits him in getting his message out, but makes him entirely unelectable. He's basically Ralph Nader.
