Upon first listen, I was cringing at the possible schmaltzy cheesiness, but then it totally goes in a different direction. It fills a really lovely place in his catalog that is rarely explored.
that's what i'm really responding to as well - it really doesn't sound like anything else he's done, which is awesome this far down the road.

If this single is any indication of the album, we are in for something special in June. The guy turns 70 this year!
I don't have any. Got any recommendations on where I should start? Seems like a good time to finally dive in on this.
77 Albany
84 East Rutherford August 5
08 St Louis is good
09 are album shows. all good but the Buffalo has a blistering Restless Nights.
12 Apollo theatre is a fav yet it's short
btw I'm happy to upload a few if you guys want.

Thanks for the point in the right direction. Much appreciated.
And I'd never say no to an upload.

If you’re a Bruce fan and you like things like hope and joy you’ll love this.
I just saw it. It’s fantastic. All about a crushed Pakistani kid living in bleak 80s England who discovers Bruce.
It’s feel good and heartbreaking. Then feel good again.
And Bruce is 100% behind it’s release. His music is all over it.

Ah no not parody at all.
100% coming of age feel good film. I reckon it’ll be slumdog millionaire big if they give it the right push.
