It's pretty clear where the dark side resides on this question. Jorge is just further proof.

Let's cast the Star Wars films using RMers.VinylGuy wrote:Oh that guy is no sith man. You keep saying that like it is fact. It in fact got worse for me on further viewings.dimejinky99 wrote:I was pretty confident Jorge would enjoy this. Really glad it was right there for him.
Jorge. It gets even better on further viewings.
ah, gotcha, I didn't like it so I don't get it. Cool beans.Strat wrote:It warms my heart that Jorge gets it.

I certainly do!durdencommatyler wrote:Anybody wanna read 15,000 words on the brilliance of The Last Jedi and how it relates to common literary tropes as well as predictions (based on evidence in the films and literary analysis of basic storytelling and complex mythology and structures) on what will happen in Ep 9?

Spoiler Alert for LV: it talks a whole lot about sex and ships Reylo hard.

I just read that whole thing. Really hope she isn't right about episode nine, and the whole holy mother thing. But I did like the comparisons to Padme and Anakin.durdencommatyler wrote:Anybody wanna read 15,000 words on the brilliance of The Last Jedi and how it relates to common literary tropes as well as predictions (based on evidence in the films and literary analysis of basic storytelling and complex mythology and structures) on what will happen in Ep 9?

The tricky part is the third lesson. Are went meant to believe, thematically, that the third and final lesson is the lesson of legacy? Does Luke ultimately give her the third lesson by film's end? Or do we just need to wait for the deleted scenes? Because there is a lot of common thought among those in the know that one of the big deleted sequences is the third lesson. And it probably involves those shots we saw in promo material but not in the film of Rey running on Ahch-To with the light saber.stip wrote:Luke kicks her off the island prior to 3, I thinkbune wrote:I was listening to a discussion the other day and they mention Luke's three lessons for Rey but how he only gives her two. Good job not getting the point. Taunting and mocking? One reason the scene was likely cut was that it took Luke's reluctance to get involved in the Resistance to a much more taunting and mocking tone with Rey, allowing her to believe people were being murdered. It may have painted Luke in a much more negative light with this "lesson," but it would have also elaborated on why Rey was so desperate to get away from Luke after the cruel trick.
