Chewy is dead... No he's not!
C3PO lost his memory... No he didn't!
Kylo is dead... No he isn't!
Rey is dead... No she isn't!

It's like shock factor just for a few minutes so nobody gets upset after the movie. I was fully expecting Leia to come back to life at the end.
I understand what you're saying here. I think the 3PO thing is the only one that bugs me though. The others are interesting to me for different reasons.

Chewie's really got me. The relief I felt was powerful and so welcome. That could have been the only one though.

The fakeouts were so unnecessarily overused.
Probably a POV thing but Chewie's is the only one I'd classify as a "fake out." And that's the one I liked the most.

You knew he didn’t die from the preview that showed him and Lando piloting the Falcon. His was the least faked because we had already seen what came after it before the movie even came out.

Three super emotional parts for me:

Han talking to Ben Ren
When Rey calls herself a Skywalker at the old farmstead
When Chewie finds out about Leia and just collapses

I felt so bad for Chewbacca. He’s left with no one. Poor guy.

But The Avengers did that shit, too. I was genuinely afraid they'd fucked with the trailer footage as a mislead.

But his life expectancy is like 5 times that of humans. Homeboy's gonna lose a lot of people.

Han talking to Ben was the best scene in the movie.

Why? two great actors.

That's a great scene. But Harrison Ford isn't even one of the 5 best actors in this movie.

Harrison Ford just looks like he'd rather be anywhere but a movie set.

I mean, to be fair, TROS is the best Ford has ever been as Han Solo. I totally concede that.
