I like bits and pieces of 2 and 3, but yeah the first one is by far the best.

I don't disagree that it's more character driven, but the action scenes are arguably better in Identity. Quality over quantity. That and the more intimate scenes still carry a heavy intensity that makes time disappear for the viewer.
