Usually I would say I agree, but she told Tyrion. He has proven to be one of the few people she can actually trust. He's always been kind to her.

Given how shaken one would be by this news and her doubts regarding Dany, I didn't find the decision that odd.

sansa is littlefinger 2.0; she told tyrion about jon to stir unrest amidst the power elite. chaos is a ladder.

Totally agree. I had a lot of the same thoughts as it played out. And I love the idea that Missandei is ultimately giving Dany permission to do the thing that set so many free across the Narrow Sea, the thing that her other advisers are weary of.

Powerful moment even if it didn't play out as I expected. I think this episode was sharp and profound. It really moved me in many, many ways. These character episodes mean the world to me. I really respond to them. Normally, I get the rift between my version of this fandom and the "rest of the world." But I have to say, I'm actually a little shocked to see how many people disliked this episodes. There's so much in it to chew on and talk about.

I thought it was really brilliant. *shrugs*

BTW Joey, I think you should definitely listen to the Binge Mode podcast; their attitudes towards the show/books match yours to a T.

Their big splash was before Season 7 (I think?); during the 6 weeks leading up to the premiere, they released 2 1-hour-long episodes per weekday covering the 60 episodes that had already aired. They now just do a show weekly, and this season they've been around 1.5 hours in length each. They're not released until Thursday, so a lot of the ground has been covered by other outlets by the time it's posted, but still could be worth it.

The logic for him sharing the secret was based entirely on him being "family" so once he told them that he wasn't (at least not to the level they thought) likely freed Sansa from her promise in her mind. He's not a Stark, therefore not family and she is not bound to that oath.
