Yeah, it would be nice if the US team wasn't an embarrassment that ruins the whole thing, but it's still cool and better baseball than a ST game.

I was just watching stuff on the 92 Dream Team, thinking, I wish Baseball could have done something like this at some point in its history outside of the All Star games.
The first US WBC drops off pretty quick after the Jeter, ARod, Griffeys.

Last time Harper and Trout sat it out, this time it's Mookie and others. It would be nice if they could at least get the young guys to do it once.

Eric Gagne is pitching for team Canada... hes been out of MLB for 9 years!
I would love to see a team like Chinese Taipei sneak into the final 4. Japan, Peurto Rico, Domincan Republic, Korea, Cuba and USA are all playing at about the same level, and Venezuela, and Mexico are not that far behind. It was great watching the Netherlands come out of no where back in the 09 tournament. Cant wait for Monday

the Crew are gonna really sneak up on some teams this year. The speed alone is going to be fun to watch. Really hope Perez can continue to grow, he really came out of no where last year.

Well, Game 1 was great!
I thought Korea would be the strong team of the 4. Guess not.

a few things
1 - MLB, and all your ideas for speeding up the game...
I just watched ALL of the Korea vs Chinese Taipei game from this morning, it was an AMAZING game, back and forth, close, and extra innings. But heres the thing. It was two Asian teams, and guess what, that game, took just under 5 hours for 10 innings! sure, it was high scoring and a lot of hits and pitching changes... but it has me wondering, what is the average time of games in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Australian leagues? If theyre around 3 hours as well... theres nothing you can do to speed games up, so stop tinkering with clocks and what nots.
2 - WHAT A AWESOME GAME that was. The loser, will most likely have to go back to pool play before the next tournament (meaning theyd have to win a 4 team tournament in 2020, to get into the 2021 WBC). That game felt like a playoff game.
that's all

I don't think they'll be enforced all that much, hell I bet the umpires forget to even pay attention to it half the time lol

Holy shit, there are actual people who are against pitch clocks?
This doesn't even qualify as tinkering with the rules of the game. It's just telling guys they can wander around for 30 seconds every time they throw a pitch.

If it's no big deal and wont change anything why is it so imperative that it happen?

because it's painful to watch some pitchers take 50-60 seconds between pitches
