Finally saw E2. This show rules: variously thrilling, goofy, intense, then lighthearted. It really does capture the spirit of ANH without overmilking the nostalgia. If it maintains this vibe through the whole season, it’ll blow the new trilogy out of the water for me.

It’s really premature to say after only two episodes but if this is the quality on all fronts that they can bring to tv, I’m absolutely fine getting more of this and the films taking the hiatus until 2022.

I've read lots of fanfare for Nick Nolte's character. So if we don't see him this season, it is probably a good bet they'll write him into next season.
