Sault's Untitled (Black Is) is the one that I think takes the #1 spot.Norris wrote:which two albums?

I haven't decided if it's the better record yet. But it might be. It got me really hard.Chris_H_2 wrote:not yet. and i'm sitting on my couch with the tv off and the sonos arc going with the kids upstairs and a beer poured. now's as good a time as ever. i'll report back.epilogue wrote:Have you listened to that Sault record?Chris_H_2 wrote:joe, i thought we had something special

Not all of it. Let it unfold. It's a ton of different genres. It's gorgeous.Chris_H_2 wrote:what am i listening to joe? it's spoken wordepilogue wrote:I haven't decided if it's the better record yet. Sault are a pseudonymous British music collective that make a mixture of rhythm and blues, house and disco. Despite critical acclaim, they eschew interaction with the media. They frequently foreground black-centric issues.Chris_H_2 wrote:ok, here we go. i like this groove.
what's the story with this artist?
I got about four songs into it before my kids crashed my listening party complaining that they needed to eat dinner. Assholes. What I heard I really liked. Lots of authentic sounds that don’t normally form the backbone of songs I’m used to hearing (Fiona Apple is an exception, which is why I love her). I need more time with it this week. Thanks for the recommendation.epilogue wrote:Chris, what did you think of the record?

Here's his tune 'Heart and Gold' - check it:
