Apparently the defeat there is the reason for the slaughter in that village and surrounds.

I wonder is the command structure breaking down or broken down already?

Reports that Putin isn’t being told anything about what’s actually happening as they’re all afraid to tell him bad news? Sounds like speculation but it makes sense.
He’s probably headed for that Hitler in the bunker scene. If it hasn’t happened already a few times.

Ukraine was invaded by Russia, and thousands of civilians have died, also thousands of soldiers. Millions have become refugees, including over one million children. Yes, it all happened fairly recently.

Well it’s very important that they do, for the safety of all Europeans. Also they now have control all the way to the Belarussian border in the Kyiv region. And the Chernihiv region is also free from Russian soldiers.

Glenn is hilarious. He spent the other day arguing that Russia’s actual tactical retreat was in no way a sign that the war was not going the way they’d planned. It was perfectly in line with their goals. His evidence: Putin’s speech.
Like, even if you ignore the lines about a complete “de-militarization“ and “denazification“ of Ukraine found in that same speech (as Glenn has done), what’s the worth of pretending that Russian forces swept through the north and directly assaulted Kyiv in order to liberate Donbas? Why look at a map of the war and pretend to see only a fight designed to liberate the east? Why work that hard to prune away at reality’s intrusion into a narrative?

If Putin had in fact limited his stated goals to just that area of eastern Ukraine, would all of the things we’ve seen so far…all of the footage and reports…really start to look like a sweeping Russian victory? Actually, those are purposefully planned smoldering tanks?

He’s such a lazy dumbass.

Glenn Greenwald has really lost it the last couple years. He's the one person I've thought I should take off my twitter feed (and I even follow Ted Cruz!). He's just so ridiculous now.

This just isn't hitting me the same. Any chance we can get Fauci to start doing some daily briefings on this. Can we make graphs with sloping curves? Is there a vaccine for Nazism?

Makes me really fear for my family there. Hopefully it won’t get as bad in the Kherson region.
