Yep. But I'm actually pretty interested. Mostly because I love binge drinking.

Well that sure escalated.
I'm looking forward to this moving forward. I enjoyed it. Started slow and wasn't sure what was all going on but I'm interested now

I enjoyed it as well. The 2nd half of the episode was quite a bit stronger than the first half. It seemed to switch tone once they showed the shot of the car on the road at night, and from that point it got a lot better. I could have lived without the Weekend at Caspers bit.

Good stuff so far. I like that there are more than 2 main characters.

i just hope, now that they've all met, that there'll be less jumping around of story lines.

Most likely. It was a bit jarring at first with all the jumping around.

It was a good start, albeit bulky with exposition and character introductions. I'd also agree that Farrell was the standout thus far. It was nowhere near the shitshow I was expecting from most of the reviews I'd read beforehand.

these sort of reviews are maybe just what's needed to properly calibrate (lower) expectations. it's panning the show, but not completely. they're just as hopeful as the rest if us that it'll be great again.

After the episode wrapped up i ended up really appreciating the slow burn early on. When Collin Farrel put on the mask and went after the reporter....it was kind of shocking and I knew the show was about to head to a very dark place.
