Nope. The correct order is some variation of the following -

1-5: Vitalogy through Riot Act in any order

6-7: Ten and Vs

8-10: The other 3
1-5: Ten through Yield
6: Binaural
7-9: The other 3
10: Riot Act

I was chatting about music the other day with my provost (age 47 I think). He said he loved ten-vitalogy but stopped listening because no code was terrible (his words). I lent him backspacer and lightning bolt. I'll report back.

I want to argue this so baaaaaaaaaaaaaad! But I'll just take my St. Vincent win and move along. Don't want to press my luck.

I don't know if I hate Riot Act as much as stip, but I like all the other albums and Lost Dogs more.

I like riot act, but it's only got 3 great songs and a handful of pretty good ones.

I don't really disagree with that, it's just that I think that's way more than on Backspacer or Lightning Bolt.

I think there's one great song between them (My Father's Son), a small smattering of good ones and a whole bunch I never care to hear again.

I would disagree in that I think there are more than three. But I will say that I think Riot Act is greater than the sum of its parts. The Riot Act experience -- the album construct, from beginning to end -- is stronger than most of Pearl Jam's other records.

I tend to favor Cameron songs a little less, but I do really love Cropduster. Matt's drum performance is great.

When I saw pearl jam open with Elderly in Vancouver 2011, I didn't think of leaving, but I was def

Of course later in the set, we did get a Hail, Hail, Pilate, Garden, Off He Goes, Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns, and Smile…so, yeah…all was right in my world.

You're goddamn right. One of the more than 3 great songs on Riot Act.

Great songs on Riot Act: can't keep, I am mine, save you
Good songs on Riot Act: Cropduster, ghost, get right

Great songs on Backspacer: Gonna See My Friend, Got Some, The Fixer, Johnny guitar, just breathe, force of nature, the end
Good Songs on Backspacer: amongst the waves, unthought known

Great songs on lightning bolt: mind your manners, sirens, lightning bolt, infallible, pendulum, sleeping by myself, yellow moon
Good songs on Lightning Bolt: getaway, my father's son, swallowed whole, let the records okay, future days

Each if these records has two songs in or close to my top 25, but the last two have significantly more depth in terms of songs I really like. I rate backspacer and l-bolt as highly as I do because they are basically the only two post Vitalogy records I really want to listen to from start to finish. Even yield and S/t, which have more top flight songs, have a number of tracks I regularly skip.
