peeps, i think you're the one misusing the word here. i agree with your points about bylsma and the pens though.
last night was awesome. campbell's a beast for making it through that penalty kill. he leads the team in penalty kill minutes (something like 30+) so his are big shoes to fill. i wonder if krug could take some minutes at the top of the box in the pk.
i'd like to see what soderberg has to offer centering peverley and seguin and have kelly join paille and thornton. julien will probably go with daugavins or caron though.

that was bad. i had enjoyed the face-to-face with morrow, and i'm thankful for his work on the game-winner, but there's no place for that leg check.

Yeah. I loved the way the crowd responded, too. The Pats/Sox crowds could learn so much from the fans who fill The Garden.
Still shocked how this series is turning out. After the 2nd and 3rd period last night, I was resigned to the fact that it would be 2-1. The way Pitt was playing, all of the dumb shit the B's did, and they still win? That's gotta be demoralizing for the Penguins.

this was on my mind too. before the series started, i never would have thought the Bs could play their "bad" game and beat Sid and the Funky Bunch. now i find myself actually believing the Bs could sweep. sports fandom is an incredible experience.

Didn't TO play with a broken leg/ankle too? Football and hockey players are the only two pro athletes I respect. At the end of every season, you read about guys playing with blown out knees, broken limbs, it's crazy.

I'd rank box lacrosse players as the toughest athletes. The speed they play at and the hits they take with the minimal equipment they wear is pretty amazing.
Lets be serious, football players are tough but a play almost never lasts longer than 6 seconds. Then players are given a chance to catch their breathe, emotionally reset, decide if they're ready to play the next down and get in position. Even if they play fifty plays in a game, that's only five minutes of actual game in motion time. That's a whole lot different than a hockey player who's in the middle of a shift who gets hurt and doesn't want to put his team in a bad position on ice or let them play the remainder of the game a man down.
I really think the average wide receiver would not be willing to lose teeth at the rate an NHL goal scorer does.

just to clear this up, wrestlers are the toughest athletes and its not even close. everyone else is fighting for 2nd.
