I like him ok. His run on Nightwing is my favorite by him, tho. I'm a really big fan of that. He wasn't using as many photo references back then.

He cribs/ traces from too many photos to really look dynamic these days, tho. For flat poses and such, sure. For dynamics and movement of the body, not so much.

Black Widow is ending in March. Hardly any Marvel books worth reading anymore. Shame.

Any X-O Manowar fans? Valliant is going all out promoting him this year.

I got super into this character a few years back and am so pumped for this now.

There's a preview for issue 1 out now as well.

The only Valliant title I read religiously is Eternal Warrior. I've occasionally dipped my toes into X-O Manowar and thought it was pretty good but never stuck with it. I've been planning on using the relaunch as a chance to give it another try. I don't really have the bandwith to jump into the entirety of the Valliant universe which is why I like Eternal Warrior cause it is pretty self contained.

Question for platy: I just read the Eternaut and was wondering if it's as big a deal in Argentina as the afterword made it out to be? I certainly thought it was phenomenal and I love the idea that it's sort of the official sci-fi comic of an entire nation, but I wasn't sure if that was being a bit overstated.

It just occurred to me that RM loves lists and we didn't do a top 10 best comic series of 2016.

BATMAN AND FLASH TEAM UP TO SOLVE DC REBIRTH'S WATCHMEN MYSTERY

What is the secret of the button? Who does it serve?

BY JESSE SCHEDEEN Last year, DC Universe Rebirth #1 teased a major confrontation between DC's heroes and the cast of Watchmen. DC is taking a major step towards that confrontation this spring with a crossover storyline called "The Button." This story will unite Batman and Flash as these two superhero detectives investigate the mystery of the Comedian's iconic smiley face button and what it means for the future of the DCU.

This crossover will unfold in the pages of Batman #21-22 and The Flash #21-22 in April and May. Writer Tom King and artist Jason Fabok will handle the Batman chapters, while writer Joshua Williamson and artist Howard Porter will tackle the Flash chapters.

Image

The story will pick up where DC Universe Rebirth #1 left off, as Batman and Flash try to comprehend the significance of the Comedian's pin that Batman unearthed deep in the Batcave. However, DC is teasing that this investigation will attract the attention of another major player, and that this crossover will begin a "countdown" to the climax of the Rebirth saga. "Countdown" is quite the loaded word for DC, ever since 2005's Countdown to Infinite Crisis #1 paved the way for that particular event. Meanwhile, Geoff Johns recently teased that he's working on a Watchmen-related comic. Could it be the final phase in this ongoing mystery?

Image

Both series will continue to carry their standard $2.99 cover price during the crossover, though DC revealed that all four issues will also feature special $3.99 variant covers with lenticular art designed by Fabok. The two images above showcase both halves of the lenticular cover for Batman #21.

Look for "The Button" to begin in Batman #21 in April.

MARVEL COMICS SOLICITATIONS FOR APRIL 2017
http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/01/24/ ... c10a00000d

Nothing really outstanding to highlight but it looks like Marvel is continuing to move away from the hero vs hero crap of the past several years. I have a feeling the Monsters Unleashed mini will be the catalyst to bring everyone back together again. Clunky and obvious but they gotta fix things. Even the X-Men are going back to superhero stories instead of constant, mind numbing, outdated Mutant persecution. Bendis is finishing his Guardians stuff so hopefully that will improve. Unfortunately looks like no end in sight for the Cap\Hydra stuff.
