Who will be the inaugural Thomas Brady Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award winner?

I don't think he's particularly close. The best comparable I can think of is Ozzie Smith, but Smith was WAY better at everything.Chris_H_2 wrote:what are you feelings on omar vizquel?philpritchard wrote:Yeah, in general I don't think defense is valued nearly enough, especially at non-up-the-middle positions. Rolen is easily one of the best defensive players of all time, and his 122 wRC+ is tied with Kirby Puckett and Paul Molitor.blueviper wrote:He's probably in for more defense.
I think as the years go on you'll see an adjustment on how players are rated in terms of hall of fame worthiness. Are careers trending shorter? Will rules changes (like this coming years pitch clock and no infield shifts) affect player stats?
Rolen was always a no-brainer for me, but I'm still a bit surprised he got in.
I’d say yes if not for the steroids and methMonkey_Driven wrote:Lebron James
Well they have to induct someone. I mean look at the 2023 class.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Freddie Freeman?
He’s older than I thought he was, which matters because I don’t think he’s there just yet, but he’s been pretty healthy over his career, so I imagine he’s got some years left. Maybe if he squeezes out another MVP and gets to 400 HRs and 3000 hits? Counting stats still do seem to matter to the HOF. He could also certainly end up with a career WAR over 75, which is higher than quite a few HOFers.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Freddie Freeman?
