I am growing more curious about sirens and what people mean by 80s power ballad. That sounds dismissive, but FON has some 80s elements like that and is one of my favorite post vitalogy songs

I've got a feeling sirens is gonna have that same awful 80s solo that FoN has, or the same tone anyway.

Ok so this time the same melody now on guitar!
I really think it`s pretty close.
And hey it`s just what i had in my head this morning - just for fun!
Will be fun to compare it once the album is out.

Yeah. Stuff like 80s power ballad or cock rock doesn't put me off one bit. If it's a good song, it's a good song. I won't dislike it because it reminds people of a certain era. Most of PJ's output is reminiscent of classic rock but with darker themes. I don't see why they can't make a dark theme (supposing this is a heartbreak song) work with 80s power ballad music.

Why did they choose to name the album after a song though... I was gonna post something like "I want me some Lightning Bolt right now!" but then I thought if I did people might go "The song or the album?" and I would have to clarify.

So the running time is about 46 min. and full of the 3 minute songs, i was hoping for a bit longer album.
