Which lane were you in?Vitalogist wrote:Encountered a road rager this morning. I was going a little over the speed limit (50 in an 45) and this guy in a giant truck started tailing me and waving his hands. It was a two-lane road and the car next to me was going roughly the same speed as me for a while. Eventually the guy behind me passes me and honked his horn. Totally unreasonable.

It's the gentle art thoughspike wrote:Jiu-jitsu sounds worse than pickleball when it comes to old man injuries.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is considered the gentle art for a couple of reasons. One is that it derives from the Japanese translation, where jiu means “gentle” and jitsu means “art.” It is literally translated as the gentle art, but that also comes from its style and practice. It is a practice that involves mostly ground fighting in which people can be submitted and are able to “tap out” before having any actual physical harm or damage done to them.
It took a lot of restraint not to gesture back at him. Good thing I didn’t, because I don’t want to be shot.dad wrote:everyone's in a hurry to go nowhere.Vitalogist wrote:The right lane.tommy wrote:Which lane were you in?Vitalogist wrote:Encountered a road rager this morning. what aboutJorge wrote:My longtime friend Jorge, who is also named Jorge (like me), came to me with an idea a couple months ago. We'd been in a band together in high school and always had a good time jamming over the years. He says to me, "I want 2024 to be the year we finally record something together." He lives in Colombia. We decided we are going to write and record an EP, long distance. We each have access to various studios and musicians in our respective cities where we can make it happen. He's a very talented musician. We've been sending song ideas back and forth for the last couple weeks. It's a lot of fun. We're calling ourselves Goodbye Jorges and we just finished writing our first full song today.
