Last few

The Hateful Eight - Tarantino used a device that I hate in films, so this ranks towards the bottom of his movies for me, but bad Tarantino is still great
Spotlight - Cannot say enough great stuff about this, from the story to the acting. It was great!
Trumbo - really engrossing - had a great time watching this
Concussion - was pretty good
Creed - Meh - it's pretty much fan fiction
Legend - story was a bit meh, but Hardy's acting was top notch
Woman in Gold - good story - it was enjoyable

Tarantino has to be one of the most overrated directors of all time. All. Time.

Generally I like his style - was really enjoying The Hateful Eight - right up until towards the end - then he pulled a cheap shot and ruined it

Kind of like Mike Patton: riding on the wave of cool, and mastering only one style?

Well I watched Primer. I liked it, but can't understand the people who say it's better than Upstream Color. I :heartbeat: Upstream Color.

You can criticize Patton for a lot of things, but only having "one style" certainly isn't one of them.

Burt, you probably don't want to hear what I have to say about this, so I just won't say it.

I enjoyed Primer, have had UC in my queue for way too long. Is it worth watching? Or should I just watch Side Effects instead?

We better get used to this. Just look at the number of 20+-year-old movies that were re-booted/sequel-ized this year alone (with varying degrees of input from their original creators): Mad Max, Rocky, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Terminator, Mission Impossible, James Bond. It comes from a combination of our obsession with nostalgia and the studios' need to appeal to as many people as possible.

I thought i had seen it before. Isn't there another time travel movie that JGL is in? That is a passenger on a train and he keeps going back in time to try and save everyone on it?

Jake Gyllenhaal was in Source Code.

He was also in the Homicide: Life on the Street episode entitled Bop Gun. His father was played by Robin Williams. I believe that episode was the first "red ball" featured on the series.
