I am riffing on the typical right-wing response that anyone who protests (for BLM, for example) is a paid plant (by Soros, for example). But considering that the last vote count protest in 2000 was *literally* paid for by GOP operatives, it wouldn't be far-fetched.

I fully believe that all of those people are sincere in their stupidity. They don't need to be paid to do that, they are eager to do it for free
