my sophomore has been training for cross country at this crushed gravel path that's a 9.5 mile loop with some pretty steep inclines and declines. he makes me feel like such a fat f#&*.

You should train with him. Give him the impression you’re actually interested in his life.

Only when critiquing his form.

Might try MAF training. My heart rate and breathing never improve.

Can explain these stats? Does 8.5 @ 9.45 mean an average of 9.45 mins per mile?
That's exactly right.

Yeah, buddy, just getting out and doing something is what matters. The movement is the win!

7.25 @ 9:04 in 67 degrees
Cooler temps and lower humidity take make a huge difference for me.

Total miles per month so far this year:
JAN - 73.3
FEB - 70.6
MAR - 48
APR - 50.3
MAY - 67.7
JUN - 92.3
JUL - 100.4
I took a full 7 - 10 days off from running in both March and May because of travel. I have no excuse for April.

At the end of the day, I find the elliptical machine has pretty much replaced my running because it's effective and less demanding.
I still run from the cops and my ex-wife, though.
