That guy I know who got murdered was let out prison early due to covid, so I'm counting it in the stats.

Nothing - I knew she didn't need a test, she been nowhere that would expose her

she probably got it in the hospital though...best to put her up for adoption

Well....in a society with almost no cases I would have thought testing would be a matter of course. There is a non-zero percent chance that she had Covid, so why not eliminate that possibility?

Any cases they pick up will allow track and trace and quarantine etc etc - that boat hasn't sailed in Aus and NZ as it has in the US. That's what will occur in South Australia now and, like Melbourne, they will get their shit together over the next few weeks and get cases back to near-nil.

I never understand why you wouldn't test on even a remote possibility (in Australia and NZ).

Testing, it turns out, is a real fucking pain in the ass.

Why are we not at the point yet where we can call our primary care physician, setup an appointment, and go in for a test?

Right now we have to email some stupid fucking email account that takes a few days to get back to you.

If you have severe symptoms they will get you in sooner for a rapid test. If you have vague symptoms they might test you. If you just traveled and want to make sure you are okay they wont test you.

Its a fucking shit show.

We need to stop testing for the most part. Just treat sick people. Simplify this shit.

In the long run I'm going back to doing whatever I want in the spring
