I took a full 7 - 10 days off from running in both March and May because of travel. I have no excuse for April.
man, I don't know how hot is for you in NY...I imagine hot as balls...but running 100 miles in a month, in what is typically a super hot month, is pretty impressive.

Thanks, friend. It was a goddamn nightmare. I run super hot as is. I struggle big time in humidity, too.

A bit of cutback day.
5.5 @ 9:57 in 76 degrees.
Ran 4 miles with the wife. She keeps about a 10:15 pace. So I had to turn it on in the final 1.5 to get my average under 10 per. Mile 5 was an 8:50 pace. Mile 4 was a 10:28. So almost two minutes faster. And the final half mile was pacing out to be even faster. Nice to take it easy and also get in a bit of speed work.

Very nice. Sometimes those intentionally slow starters and uptempo finishers feel really good.

Thanks. I'm currently eyeing 100 miles a month just to know what that feels like. Impressive, man!
It feels like your knees turning to dust. That’s what it feels like.

Another 6.5 @ 10.
Tomorrow I'm gonna get in a real light recovery run. No more than 4.5 before heading out to the beach.

3.5 @ 10:30 to round out a 21 mile recovery week. Felt rough even though I was taking it easy. Heat/humidity today is brutal.
