Ok I’ll bite.

What are some of the worst Radiohead songs?
Lol at the concept of Radiohead having "terrible" songs. We need a much better reference for terrible song with ace production.
I pretty much only like two songs off King of Limbs (Bloom and Little By Little), idk I haven't heard it in years, I should

One of my lingering dilemmas:
What did they do with the layered vocal intro to DM?
The one they used as intro to the instrumental version.

I like it a lot, and thought it would end up on the album, did they really just scrap it?

Wtf?

no different intro, that WFS outro is still there; it was the Atmos mix so Josh might’ve mixed it but musically exactly the same; whoever that is be trippin'

edit: when they play the album second time around it's missing the intro and interlude because those have no lyrics, was this guy late?
Yeh I noticed the interlude was missing second time round. It’s weird, with the lyrics the overall song sounded clear to me, felt a bit muffled first time round
yeah I think I agree

I did, too. Strange as it might seem, I think it added 0.25 stars or so for me in the custom version someone here made.

Presumably it's a 5.1 mix, or maybe 7.1, so there could just be different things people hearing
Maybe they're getting Josh Evans' Atmos mix.
i ended up not being able to go to the cinema play of the album because i got covid-19. i've pre-ordered the blu-ray version which has the evans mix so it'll be interesting to hear how different the two versions are.

anywho, because i couldnt go to the cinema i gave up and listened to the iphone leak - setting sun is my favourite. the record is worth that song alone. :heartbeat:

they also got rid of that first ambient Twitter clip we heard

I have to admit to never exploring multi-channel audio but I'm guessing it will be possible to extract the individual channels from Evans' Atmos mix and make a new (if not ideal) stereo mix that could sound more tolerable?

I really like that we've essentially got three ambient non-songs: intro, outro of WFS, interlude between R and SS (4 if you count the intro to Upper Hand); those are the kinds of things that lift the overall listen from being "just" a pop rock record

They got rid of it on the Evans mix or altogether?

I thought I heard it the other day at the record store.

a friend of mine who did go to the cinema experience said the album loops. first and last song the chord progression continues and he uses the line setting sun in the first song. the album ends without going back to the home chord but then the first song picks it up again.

altogether

there were two Twitter clips before DM came out, one with an ambient few seconds; it had an organ on it, and was lovely, but it isn't there; the other with someone playing a vinyl of what is the album intro (included); both different

gotta find a computer that can take blu-ray first, then there's probably all sorts of copy protection on it. if someone can get around that then surely its possible.

that's super cool

I really liked that "setting sun" appearing twice

Record store version intro is way short and is not the Twitter version

I have no problem with that one, that one can be the audio track used on the Bluray menu :o

The layered vocal thingy though, that I will miss.

dang, that’s a bummer. I mean, I don’t think it’ll change my opinion, but it was cool to think they’d do something similar to the Gigaton intro.
