How do you know that? If they aren't happy, why go through the time and effort of finishing the track? They drop plenty of good stuff of the studio floor, they have admitted as much since Riot Act, so that doesn't make a lot of sense to end up with that on the album unless they didn't have anything better.
They had better stuff when they decided to leave Sad and Fatal off Binaural and Down off Riot Act (?). They do it all the time. Not saying that's what's happened here, but BO'B really wanted it on there so it's on there. They're happy enough to release it so I guess that's OK by them.

Yeah, I'm not buying that they were unhappy with SBM.
Sorry I forgot this wasn't the speculation thread.
Weeell OK, I'm gonna let you go just this once. But just don't forget again, ya hear? :cop:
RIP Jambi :peace:

You should obviously quit your education, and focus more on this thread.

That new promo pic tells us all we need to know about the SbM incident. It was taken about 30 seconds after the band found out its on the album and jeff drop-kicked eddie in the chest.

I was humming the "Getaway" verse melody and it occurred to me that it fits very well with the ending of the chorus on Jefferson Airplane's "3/5 Of A Mile in 10 Seconds": "Know I love you baby - yes, I do!"

Which would sound totally badass, if it was totally badass.

Didn`t really got into this one. It reminded me of something from Into The Wild but one of the more upbeat songs like Setting Forth..
I really like Setting Forth.
I love ITW soundtrack, that and Wellwater are my fav PJ side projects...Bayleaf rocks too....I said it before but they should do a full band version of No Ceiling, Rise and Far Behind.....

Mermaid dancing to DTE?

Weirdly, it's nice to hear that track is fairly long. If you're going to have The Best 80s Rock Ballad In the World Ever, it's got to be fully immersive or it's a non-starter.

Please don't let it have the same guitar tone as FON.

LB def sounds like a grower more than a shower....Im glad.. most of the good PJ records are...Don't get me wrong I loved ten-vitalogy after my first listen but those are classics...After that they made albums you really had to wrap your head around and listen to a few times...then came ST and BS...both good records but I felt they were missing the depth of the previous ones...now please leak soon....

What the one on the intro or at the end? The horrible intro tone is unlikely, the final solo tone is not.

Mermaid dancing to DTE?
Possibly. We'll need more lyrics. I'm thinking they refer to the band one by one fucking with ed.

The sirens refer to Ed's car alarm after stone keys his car.

Maybe the outro will be ed singing is soul out about how he will mermaid dance during DTE forever even if his band hates him, over mikes most mindblowing solo ever. It'll be heartwrenching, we'll never look at the dance without shedding a tear again.

I'm thinking it would be cool for PJ (or any band) to release the lyrics before the songs. But that would never happen.

take a breath to breathe (or whatever it was) is not necessarily a bad lyric. The context, the music, and the delivery will all affect it for better or worse, but I have no problem with that line in itself. It's probably using the word in two related ways that fit well together. There is the process of pausing that is involved in the idea of taking a breath--slowing down, gathering strength, etc--amidst a set of circumstances that requires you to actually take the time to concentrate on the act. Then there is idea of breathing takes that idea of slowing down, of coping, of living, and extends it out over time.

Every journey begins with the first step, every breathe begins with the first... breath.
