It’s a fucked up world we live in when we allow numbers made up about what other people supposedly think, to think for us. So depressing.

I would never. However, a girl I dated for a while always wanted to watch what I considered poor movies, and upon a viewing of the last Twilight movie on a otherwise really nice date night, I couldn't quite hide my distaste for it. Looked up the score and it was about where I had imagined. I mentioned it to her, and she went all Han Solo on me: "never tell me the score".

All the Twilight movies are massively superior to TFA and TLJ

I enjoyed the first one, and thought many men were too harsh when talking about it. The second is much worse. The last two are so awful that TLJ easily rules supreme over them.

Breaking Dawn: Part 1 is my favorite! The pace is so slow and so little happens in the narrative...it’s almost like The Big Chill with vampires.

At first I was Team Jacob but then Jacob became a creep just like Edward so eventually I was just Team Kellan Lutz

Edward looks like he listens to Damien Rice. He probably cries during sex.

Hair brained idea. You know the way we see different Star Wars trailers that are edited differently to pitch to Asian markets... could the Last Jedi been edited that way to appeal to that market? It is a very different than we’re used to style and Rian is a huge fan of Asian cinema and some of its great directors. I wonder.

I’m reading a sci fi book by a Chinese author at the moment and it’s structurally and tonally different to anything I’ve ever read. So they definitely have a different set of building blocks and view than we in the West do. Just made me wonder.

What book are you reading? The Three Body Problem?

But I did want to say that I agree with how it’s interesting how Chinese write their sci-fi. I know you might lose some in the translation, but it is structured very different.

That weird evolutionary gap between Asians and Caucasians is on show. They come at everything completely differently and this is only my first time reading a work from that field but it’s on show. Totally different way of telling a story. It’s almost like he’s locked in by his upbringing and education and not as far out as a western writer would go but with the result that he’s telling it in far more real world terms and math and science than a western sci fi writer would. It’s a mind bender and pallet cleanser and I love it.

After seein it a second time. I like it just as much as the first time. Johnson does a great job with legend of Luke Skywalker. Probably bettter than JJ did. And Adam driver absolutely kills. Where his character is from the beginning of TFA is almost night and day. I really hope JJ doesn’t put a mask back on him.

Not attacking his work and I know he had serious time pressure. But it’s bad tv mid season finale music. It’s not Star Wars music at all

I find Giacchino’s R1 score far more effective and memorable than Williams’s lackluster work in TFA and TLJ. Williams hasn’t done anything of note in a long time, IMO.
