I thought it was obvious she died from attempting to force project herself to Ben during that battle.dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:nodimejinky99 wrote:Sooo.... Rey effectively killed Leia.

She did though. Leia feel that saber going through her son and that’s it. It kills her

Anders wrote:Leia was the Han image imo, sacrificed her last strength to reach out to Ben/Kylo. Similar to what Luke did in TLJ. It even worked.

It’s the force. She’s not really dead. She even appears at the end.dimejinky99 wrote:Anders wrote:Leia was the Han image imo, sacrificed her last strength to reach out to Ben/Kylo. Similar to what Luke did in TLJ. It even worked.
She died a scene or two before han appears though.
I don’t believe she can be killed by a saber going through her son. That’s not how that scene read to me at all.dimejinky99 wrote:Anders wrote:«Amazing, every word of what you just said... was wrong.»dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:nodimejinky99 wrote:Sooo.... Rey effectively killed Leia.

Rather, I think she distracted Ben, so that Rey could get the upper hand. She knew something needed to happen to turn him. Him killing Rey, would destroy everything.dimejinky99 wrote:Anders wrote:I don’t believe she can be killed by a saber going through her son. She felt Han being killed and was in pain. She felt luke die. She obviously has a far bigger bond with her son and felt his agony as he gets skewered. Possibly worse cos she knows it’s Rey
And if that were true, about her conjuring Han it breaks and robs the moment with Ben and Han. It’s bens own guilt and torment and wanting out of that is what brings Hans memory to him. That’s powerful. Who hasn’t ran over a bad argument in their head wishing they could take it back?
This is worse for him by a million cos he killed his dad
All respect that isn’t what it was at all.Anders wrote:Rather, I think she distracted Ben, so that Rey could get the upper hand. She knew something needed to happen to turn him.
