Seniority has never increased your chances of obtaining tickets, even under the old system. This new system is no different in that regard.
But does seniority play a factor in determining the location of your seats? I always thought it had in the past, but I wonder if it will now for reserved seats this tour.
It will.
Q: Do you still do seniority seating?

A: Yes. For Pear Jam shows tickets we still assign seated tickets based on seniority.

Q: For Pearl Jam shows, do you still randomly assign rows 1-2 and 9-10 infront of the stage?

A: If the seats go all the way up to the barricade in front of the stage, we will still assign those 4 rows randomly. If there is a pit immediately infront of the stage, and seated rows behind the standing section, then we will not randomly assign those rows.

this fan club is so fucking stupid

why should someone get 2 hot shows (say LA and NYC) while 2 other people (one in LA and one in NYC) got shut out for both?

stupid. stupid. stupid.
No, they're not separate. When ranking your shows the entire tour was done all together. They're just drawing based on shows and doing them in order.

I'm pretty sure you could rank separate legs 1 and 2, mutually exclusive...and I don't see the issue with having that option if you're willing to travel and take the chance.

GA FLOOR SAN DIEGO CONFIRMED.
Never had floor seats to PJ... I will still say this system is flawed.... But I'm a happy camper right now.

I put in for one show (Oakland) with a priority of GA and a 2nd priority of Reserved. I got the GA. The system appears to work without flaw.

In theory anyone with Dallas Reserved as their 1st or 2nd would get that.

Yes, if you had Dallas Reserved as your 2nd preference, you've almost certainly got it.

i'm thinking winning the #1 choice reserved in okc negates my choice #2 okc ga, making dallas reserved my true choice #2

I wonder if it actually bumps it up, that'd be interesting to know and would make sense, but who knows.

I'm interested to see if there are any cases of these so-called guarantees come true, as in if someone who had X concert as 2nd actually got it when someone with X concert as 3rd and got it.

I don't think it works that way as that would end up being unfair to those who legitimately put it at preference 2.

I don't think it would be practical to make those kind of alterations on the fly, but even if it were, I don't think the 10C drawing works that way. This system rewards careful selection of preferences, the above would still lessen the chances of success for anyone who picked that show at pref 2 in the first instance as more people will be thrown into the running to secure those tickets.

I have to imagine whatever programs they're running probably do multiple shows at a time, so on the fly adjustments would theoretically be impossible.

As an Australian who rarely gets to see the band and has never once purchased 10C tickets for a Pearl Jam show, I sure feel like I know a disproportionate amount about their ticketing processes.

This was my pick.

Had I ordered them Hartford both 1 and 2 and then Worcester 3 and 4, and won Hartford first, if Worcester was bumped up to 2, then it would increase the pool to choose from, so I can't see that happening. Had I done that pick, I doubt I would have gotten Worcester too, as then it'd have been my third and even less likely to have tickets left over.

We need more data from people to figure out all the combinations and permutations. So many to sort out in picking the best possible chances for desirable outcomes. It really is something that you can do your best to best position yourself...

I guess there's always a 'game' or tricks to better your chances with PJ tix.
