Watched The Omen, which is still creaky and boring, and A Bucket of Blood, which is still one of my fav Corman movies with a great comedic performance by Dick Miller

man, i miss Dick Miller. He used to appear in all kind of different movies and was always great

Fear Street: 1994. Pretty good. Will watch the next part.

Hoping Usher steps it up in the last two episodes because this has been a bit basic.

Possession was incredible. What a movie. I thought I knew what to expect based on clips I'd seen, but holy shit!

decided I'd fuck around and watch the original Exorcist again didn't I; this was my second time, the first was in college

it's still the scariest horror movie of my life I think, even with the campy excess and the green blood; the extreme stuff wouldn't work, it would be simply hilarious shlock, if all the subtleties weren't there to ratchet up the tension -- sound design, mood setting, characterisation, the juxtaposition of medical, spiritual / demonic and religious harassment and infiltration of the body, ideas I'm all about; it starts exploring all these early and never lets up, until all of that stuff gets manifested in the demon (which, as in all horror doing its job, becomes a metaphor)

the movie's only fatal flaw, like Hellraiser and others, is that it suffers from that old racist trope, "the demon (or box, or relic) came from a Muslim excavation site"; that's hard to shake off, being the start of the movie, and the story didn't even need it

Could you recommend me a good horror miniseries? It doesn't matter if it's new or old. Thank you.

I really enjoyed The Haunting of Hill House

yeah those two are great....what about Salems Lot?

I really dont like Mike Flanagan style, but Midnight Mass was great. Salems Lot from the 70? Already seen it. Another Tobe Hooper disasterpiece.

I really liked The Outsider. It's a 10 episode series that probably should have been about 8, but still very good.

I'm definitely more into horror movies than horror TV, Mike Flanagan is my exception, I like his series more than his movies

Definitely will check this out, Im not crazy about Stephen King, but love Ben Mendelsohn.

Well, shit. The last two episodes are the best by far but they suffer from the same overly long moralizing 'right think' lectures that grind the story to a halt and doomed Midnight Club. The reason this series ranks in bottom half for me is just wasn't scary. There were a couple jump scares, but it wasnt anything that will stay with me unlike Hill House, Bly Manor, and the superior Midnight Mass. Well, there was one sequence that was glorious:

i read the book and meh, and forgot about the series. Maybe ill watch it someday.
