this new single reminded me a bit of PJ Harvey
I've enjoyed everything I've heard from Porridge Radio. This is no exception.

Probably the wrong thread for this, but Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis's new album for their Warriors musical dropped yesterday. I've only listened to the first track but ... boy oh boy am I excited!

Single was underwhelming, not surprised the album is a bit flat.

Noid sounds like it has every element of every Tyler the creator song I’ve ever heard in it. And I’m here for it.

That's a very apt description, CH2.

Not really my thing, but Sponge (peeps) released an album this year called 1994 with covers of songs from 1994. There's an Oasis song (psychobain), the Mazzy Star song (ruddo) and Bull in the Heather (vinylguy) among many other classics (durden).

I really dig the new Porridge Radio album.

Very different from the last one.

I tend to stay away from the folkier offerings that abound these days, but I have heard a bit of Laura Marling's new album Patterns In Repeat as its being showcased on the radio station I listen to in the car. This song in particular grabbed my attention this morning and, as the DJ described it, it's kinda like a warm hug. I'm gonna check out the album in full at work this afternoon.

I think Jack White is still in the lead for me. But The Cure and King Gizzard will surely challenge that.

Yeah, same here, I'm open to whatever pops up these last 2 months, but I doubt my top 3 spots would shift in any other direction.
They're guests that feel like family at this point.

Incredible. It’s both restrained and free simultaneously.
