There are plenty of songs on Lost Dogs better than Yellow Ledbetter.
I've allowed for 3
stip :(

yellow ledbetter? why?
you know, when I first started posting here I would have assumed that this post was a joke.

But after years of this

I just think yellow ledbetter is tired out as a song. it's not a bad song, or even all that bothersome to me, but from the Lost Dogs compilation, it's not all that strong a contender to me for top 3 or 4. that's all
yellow ledbetter (studio) is one of those songs I don't think I can ever get tired of hearing.

Guess I'm an asshole, then.

Wawna see-lead. Wawn a po-urch a let-errrr sa-a-at. Wawna see ut.... and so on and so on.

I remember in like '95 when I first started getting into my PJ addiction, I was reading all these comments about YL was the holy grail of PJ tunes. I finally found a shop that had the Jeremy single, rushed home, popped it in, loved Footsteps, and then was completely underwhelmed by YL - not what I was expecting from all the hype I had been exposed to. And I have been basically bleh on it ever since.

Me, too

The peak of my hunting days was walking into a independent music shop while traveling with my parents in St. Louis in like '96 or '97 and seeing the red parrot / FM 1995 Soldier Field show in that Live at Leeds-style triple disc case. They only wanted $80 for it (!), and I had to explain to my mom why I was spent all of my remaining trip cash on it. I was like 17.

This is... this is uncanny. Until that chorus I was like yeah, sort of but not really... and then...

OK, time for Track 11. This one was really a murderer's row for me, some of my favorite PJ songs reside at Track 11.
