Got in back to back workouts Saturday & Sunday. Worked up a good sweat yesterday, I was little hung over and exercise is one the best ways to get rid it. Looks like I'm not the only one who knows that trick.
Good for you Dapper; glad to hear you were able to get it together and cleaned up.

Good work DG. Keep it up!
Also, I usually want to go for runs when I've been drinking. For some strange reason it sounds like a good idea. Luckily, I'm usually only drunk when friends are around and they talk me out of it. I'm sure I'd hurt myself.
But I don't mind running with a hangover. A good 9 miler after heavy drinking can feel great. Sweat out the toxins and get back to zero.

...back to zero to fire it up again!

Running while drunk is fun. Although I usually end up peeing on myself and sometimes other people.

Me and a couple of really good friends I met through construction jobs (they moved with work a few years ago

) would drink and throw the football/go play some bball or even ride our bikes around town. Shit sometimes we'd just jump around like morons to some loud music or wrestle around on the hardwood floor of the house we rented (always ended in brushburns, the one guy got a huge brush burn all over his face from trying to twist and spin out of a headlock I had him in!) Good times!

I have found that greasing up with a nice baby oil will prevent brush burns while wrestling with my male friends. It's important to get every nook and cranny.

Oh we went through bottles of that stuff.

I just read "Its so Easy, and other lies" By Duff McKagan.
Intense.
I feel bad for your BiL, good luck to him. I can get kind of bingy with drinking but that's pretty rare and it never caused me any problems. I've never been an every day/night drinker.
My problem was coke and at one point even crack. I lived out of my car for a while once and it cost me a 7 year relationship with a girl that otherwise would have married me. (she is straight edge) I still talk to her but she has a family of her own now. I never in a million years thought I'd get into the predicament I was in but a series of poor choices and certain events going on around me outside of my control led me into the downward spiral. It was tough, but I feel like I came out of it with a better understanding of humanity as a whole and a new found humbleness that really put things into perspective.

Hit the gym for a pathetic work out last night. Upper body. My heart just wasn't in it and after about 30 minutes, I just went and sat in the sauna. I have decided to start calorie counting again. Still hovering around 170 and I just feel and look bloated. I'd like to lose 10 pounds in a couple weeks.
Supposed to be 102 today. I'm afraid my canal runs after work are a thing of the past. It'll be treadmill city for the next few months unless I wake up superearly.

It's all relative. I was 150 and 9% body fat in January 2012. Now I'm 170+ and

% body fat.

This bruised heel is really keeping me out of the game. I've been on the foot way to much. Between work and my own restlessness I'm not doing myself any favors. The motherfucker was throbbing like hell last night and today it is more swollen than it's been.
I've got a trail ride scheduled for Saturday and I think I'm just going to stay off it and keep it elevated so I can enjoy my Saturday in the woods.

The most exercise I will get from tonight through sunday will be getting off the inner tube to the cooler. Walking across sand can be difficult though so....that may burn a calorie or two...
