Nevermind, via pitchfork

Unlike Young’s recent albums with Promise of the Real, he recorded this album with session musicians Jim Keltner and Paul Bushnell. It’s described in the press release as “primarily acoustic,” though it also features Auto-Tuned Neil Young vocals. Peace Trail will be available as a CD, digital download, and cassette. A vinyl edition of the album will arrive in January.

I'm not big on the Promise of the Real stuff, but I do like this version of Indian Givers. Sloppy in a good way.

Did someone in the year 2016 really have to type the word "cassette"?

When did Neil Young reappear on Spotify? I've missed listening to him in the car.

I enjoy the way that with a catalogue this vast you can completely forget about really great songs and then have such fun rediscovering them.

Hope we can make it out of 2016 with Neil Young still intact and breathing.

So - I just found out yesterday that Neil has cancelled his tour of Aus/NZ in March next year!
Also - just found out Neil was meant to be touring Aus/NZ in March next year.

Listening to the August 23, 1995 bootleg of Neil and Pearl Jam from Caesarea Maritima, Israel. Amazing stuff, and I wish they'd do another album with him. Bring them both back to center a little bit. More rock, less politics and money.

Also today is the Day that Merkin Ball was released in 1995. (Yes I saw it on twitter). I was a freshman in college and me and four other PJ friends packed into a car to go to town and all buy a copy of the EP. I was the only one who had a copy of Mad Season already so two of them bought that and one other bought the Mirror Ball album proper. It was a great trip. I remember listening to the two songs over and over and comparing lyric sheets with one of my friends.

Nowadays I don't even know the titles of songs, I just put an album on and listen to it. Song titles are so incidental to the experience.
