Also, the Spurs are a great team, nothing but respect for Pop and the bunch. It was tough watching Duncan at the podium last night, you can't help but feel bad for the guy in that spot. What an amazing series, it was a treat to watch basketball played at such a high level over the course of a 7 game series.

There were a lot of Spurs doubters in every round of the playoffs. Kudos to them for constantly proving people wrong and playing as a true team.

I miss basketball already. Let's hope some major offseason moves are made in the next few months to keep it interesting.

OKC and Miami were the only teams I was worried about. OKC was my main concern and once Westbrook was injured I knew the Spurs were in the Finals.
Based on their playoff runs the last few years and how devastating their Game 6 loss was, I was a little surprised they played so well yesterday.
I love Pop, but his decision to keep playing Manu in crunch-time the last 2 games was a mistake.

I don't agree with 'trading' for coaches, especially when it is a first round pick. The Clippers can't get over the hump because of their personnel, not because they need the right coach. As a Bulls, fan, I know just how terrible Del Negro is, but finding the right coach is something you can do without giving up assets.

They will send a first-round pick as compensation for the Boston Celtics, who have agreed to release the coach from the three years, $21 million he has remaining on his deal with the club.

i think there's a chance, that's why it's still pending.

i think it will go through. the league had an initial problem with it being for Rivers and Garnett

I'll miss Doc but if he wanted out then he can go. I would have been happy with 45 wins and a second round exit again just to have one more year with these guys but whatever. Guess they amnesty Pierce now and trade Garnett. Even if all they can get for him is Deandre Jordan thats fine. He's big and young and a asset. It's all about assets for them now. He's overpaid but all big men are overpaid. Most are late blumers too so maybe he turns into something like Hibbert just did. Even if they just hold onto him for a bit and trade him he's something for nothing. Hope they hire Shaw, keep Rondo, have a shit season and get Wiggins.

I don't really see them dropping low enough in the lottery to have a chance at the number one, but you never know.
