Anyone read Chew to the end or last TPB volume? I was disappointed by the ending--overly nihilistic and bleak. It should have ended sooner.

I've heard of Chew but never read it.

Started reading East of West yesterday and I'm on the third 'book'. This is pretty awesome. I think I'm going to have to read them twice to make sure I get everything, because even though I'm reading some pages more than once I still feel like there's something I'm not seeing.

EoW doesn't start to click until the second or third volume honestly, but it's so goddamn beautiful to look at and full of interesting characters that it keeps you hooked. Good stuff.

I read East Of West an issue at a time so a lot of the times I'm confused. Too much to remember. I will probably have to reread when its over. Hickman is better in trades.

It's a goofy, surreal detective story. Tony Chu can "see" things by eating them. There are two overarching storylines--a conspiracy that involves others with powers similar to his, and how eating chicken is outlawed.

It has a lot of ideas but suffered from poor plotting towards the end. Volumes 1-10 tell the bulk of the story.

Same here, but lately (last year or so) I have been letting two or three pile up and reading in bigger chunks. It has helped a little, but it will definitely require a big reread when all is said and done.

DC COMICS SOLICITATIONS FOR APRIL 2017
http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/01/27/ ... april-2017

Looks like over the next few months across the Superman comics Superman will be dealing with Ozymandias in some capacity and April is when Batman and Flash get on the case. Should be good!

I'm sure these will be disappointing but I can't help but hope....

Whether or not The Old Guard actually satisfies our Highlander craving, at least we can turn straight to the source. Highlander: American Dream serves as a prequel to the cult-classic 1986 film. That means no confusing, contradictory continuity and none of that space alien nonsense from Highlander 2. Instead, writer Brian Ruckley and artist Andrea Mutti are keeping things simple as they explore Connor MacLeod's long, painful history on the American continent. Plus, just look at that awesome cover from Francesco Francavilla. All you need is a rocking Queen soundtrack and you'll feel like a prince of the universe all over again.
